What is the standard roll size ?

The various sizes of each roll offered by various manufacturers, but majority are of std size of 5.37 sq. mtr rolls (58 sq.ft.) and width of the roll is 53.3 cms (21 inches) and Length 10.06 mtrs (33ft).

What's the Wallpaper Roll area and it’s coverage on Wall ?
  • One Std. Roll has an area of 58 sft.
  • The Std. Roll generally covers 50 sq.ft. on Wall (because some wastage occurs due to trimming/cutting required on the top and bottom of the wall as well as for wastage due to design matching).
  • Thus the coverage Wallpaper Roll on Wall is approximately 86% or say the wastage is 14%.
  • This wastage factor has to be built into the costing while providing the Estimate.
  • However for plain designs with free-match or zero match designs, the wastage could be less than that of Design motifs and these could offer coverage upto 90% ( or a reduced wastage up to 10%).
If wall is uneven would you recommend to put wallcovering ?

The plaster would have to be redone on your wall and then cement primer one coat on top of it to help bind the same properly. Thereafter Wallpapers can be installed on the same. Walls everywhere are not good but can be made ready by doing the right surface preparation.

Can Wallpapers be applied on tiles?

Wallpapers preferably should not be installed on tiles as tiles are of non-absorbing nature. Moreover, even if installed by reducing the water content, the shape of the tiles will still be visible. Ideally one should remove the tiles and remake the walls which is an expensive and time-consuming process. The alternative is to put a ply sheet on top of the tiles to make an even surface, put primer on it and then do the installation of Wallpapers.

Is it necessary to remove existing wallpaper before installing a new one without damaging the back wall?

With the new non-woven backing it is easy to remove Wallpapers when needed to replace. One edge to be removed from the corner and then the sheet to be stripped off the wall in one go. This does not even damage the back wall.

Where the backing is paper the wallpaper when removed will tend to come off with the plaster in places for which the surface preparation is needed. However, the new tech non-woven backing is good to remove without any plaster coming off and new wallpaper can be immediately applied.

This process usually takes one day and the second for the installation of the new Wallpapers.

Can wallpapers be used in bathrooms?

Wallpapers can easily be used in the dry areas of the bathrooms. Only areas which should be avoided is the shower area. Rest is good. In Fact adding Wallpapers to the bathroom breaks the monotony of the place.

What are the prerequisites to install wallpapers?

The walls on which Wallpapers need to be installed should be smooth even and dry. If not then you need to put the putty to make the surface even and then one coat of cement primer to smoothen the wall. Thereafter the Wallpapers can be applied.

Can we put wallpapers if there are cracks on the wall?

The Wallpapers can be applied on your wall after filling the cracks with plaster and then applying cement primer on it which will help bind the wall. Once the wallpapers are installed the cracks will not be visible and the Wallpapers will keep the wall binded.

Can wallpapers be applied on Plywood?

Wallpapers can be easily installed on the plywood after doing the necessary surface preparation.

Can Wallpapers be put where paint on existing wall is chipping off?

If the walls are dry then wallpapers can be installed. If the paint is chipping off then surface preparation needs to be done which involves scraping the damaged paint and then filling it up with plaster with a coat of primer on top.

Can Wallpapers be put directly on a plastic painted wall?

Yes the Wallpapers can be installed directly on a plastic painted wall where there is no chipping of paint. for example 250 sft area would max take 6 hours to be complete for the Wallpapers installation. However if surface preparation is needed then that would take a further day.

Do you suggest any alternative if there is leakage on the walls?

If you have leakage issue then we suggest an alternative of making an artificial wall using cement sheet with a gap of 1 inch from the existing wall using aluminium panelling. On top of this you then apply the beautiful wallpapers. Thus whatever keeps on happening at the back is not seen anywhere and your interiors look beautiful. On the cement sheet the surface preparation will be very minimal, where only the grooves need to be filled with plaster...plus a coat of primer will need to be done.cement sheet application will take one day, one day for plaster and primer and the third day installation of Wallpaper will happen. These are not major works and can be done without much dust or dirt.

Is the wood border on the edges of the wall required?

The Wallpapers can be put on any wall which is smooth even and dry. The wooden patti is good to be put as a protective edge where the wall ends in a L shape as it is more likely to get hit due to movement of people. Its a good precaution to take.

Can Wallpaper be put on external walls?

Wallpaper is only an interior solution and is not to be used for external purposes. In an open area where the Wallpapers are exposed to a lot of outside factors which normally it will not be when used in interiors. Hence it can be installed as per your requirement but there would be no warranty given on the same towards its longevity.

Can Wallpapers be installed in the dry areas of the bathroom over the tiles?

Our Wallpapers can be installed in the dry areas of the bathroom over the tiles. Though tiles are not the ideal surface for the installation as it is non absorbing. If we were to install then too the tiles shape would be visible. Preferably you should put a plywood sheet over the tiles and then install the Wallpapers. But this only for the dry areas and not the shower area.

Can I install vinyl flooring over carpet? Over tile?

Vinyl flooring cannot be installed over any high pile carpet. The “squish” of a plush carpet will prevent vinyl planks from locking properly. However, if the carpet is a tight, low pile style, then thicker, tighter locking, vinyl planks may be suitable for installation.

How do I clean my vinyl floors?

Vinyl flooring is virtually maintenance free. It’s so easy to clean and take care of, you won’t dread doing chores.

To clean your vinyl floors, be sure to vacuum up any dust, dirt, or debris. It’s best to use a vacuum without a beater bar for this.

You can also use a damp mop to keep your vinyl flooring clean. Be sure to clean up any spills immediately to prevent damage to your flooring.

That’s all it takes for clean floors!

How do I keep my vinyl floor looking great?
  • Use felt pads under the chair and furniture legs to prevent scratching of the flooring surface.
  • Place door mats at all entrances to prevent tracked in dirt, rocks, moisture, and other debris.
  • Avoid using rubber backed mats as they can stain the flooring surface over time.
Window blinds measuring instructions
Do blackout blinds completely block out light in a room?

90% of blackouts we sell are roller blackout blinds. The fabric or lining is completely blackout but you will get some light around the edges and top of the blind. This is also true for blackout roman blinds, vertical blackout blinds and pleated blackout blinds.

Blackout blinds with a design or print will face into the room, some blackout blinds have a white lining facing the outside of the house but not all best to check with our office if you need to match in with other blinds from the outside.

What type of lining is used on roman blinds?

All of our roman blinds come fully lined and are available in three types standard, blackout and interlined.

Standard: helps to filter light and protect fabric from the effects of the sun.

Blackout:Blocks out external light and gives and extra warmth and privacy.

Interlining:Keeps your room warmer with a slightly padded lining, our most energy efficient option.

What type of mechanism is used in roman blinds?

We have two types of mechanisms: our deluxe system and our cleat and cord system. 99% of blinds are sold with the deluxe chain mechanism. The deluxe system is a side chain operated system which allows you to stop the blind in any position, the older system cleat and cord is raised and lowered by pulling the pull cords and holding them by wrapping them around the side cleat usually affixed to the side wall or frame.

What types of mechanisms are used in Roller Blinds?

We offer two types of side chain mechanism or a spring-operated mechanism. the side chain operated system works on a pull chain system to raise and lower the blind all chains must be secured using the child safety provided. our spring-loaded blind work via an internal spring which can be lowered by pulling on the pull acorn in the centre of the blind. no need to attach any child safety device as there are no cords hanging down.

What types of mechanisms are used in vertical blinds?

We offer two types of side chain and pull cord mechanism or a wand operated mechanism. The side chain / pull cord operating system works on a chain system to open and close the blinds and pull cord to pull the blinds back; all chains must be secured using the child safety provided. our wand system now becoming the norm works on a wand control system to open the louvers simply twist the wand left or right to filter light and simply use the wand to pull back the blind to the fully open position.

What types of controls are used in wooden or faux wooden blind?

Our wooden and faux wood blinds come with two pull cords to open and close the slats usually on the left-hand side of the blind. to raise and lower the blind the pull cord is usually positioned on the right-hand side as standard. We do not do any wand control wooden or faux wood blinds as they are too heavy and would break over time. For certain ranges, for example Sherwood range, we do have the option to put both controls on one side or reverse the pull and lift sides.

What types of controls are used in aluminium venetian blind?

Aluminium venetian blinds come with a wand control system usually on the left used to open and close the slats. To raise and lower aluminium venetian there is a pull cord on the right-hand side which will come with child safety. it is possible to switch the side of the controls and even put both on one side for hard-to-reach places.

What types of controls are used in pleated blind?

We have two types of controls for pleated blinds, tab and chord and a free hand system. The free hang system works by pulling the side cord to raise and lower the blind similar to a venetian blind.

The tab and cord system uses a centre tab to pull up and down the blind with your hand and the blinds run along to side cords which must be attached to the bottom of the window or door. usually used on doors or tilt and turn windows.

What type of blinds are best for kitchens or bathrooms?

Faux wood blinds are pvc and are wipe able and moisture resistant, some Roller Blinds also come in pvc our phoenix and viva range do but please note both are blackout. In general if the room isn’t too steamy or small standard blind will usually work fine.

We have a wide range of products to suit all budgets, with even the lowest cost option looking like natural turf. we put a high value on customer satisfaction. We put the customer at the heart of our business; what you need and want is very important to us.

We supply the best quality turf and installation. We pride ourselves on the standard of service and installation we provide due to our experienced, knowledgeable and helpful staff. we go the extra mile to stand out from the rest to provide you with a product and service that is second to none.

Can I fit the turf myself (DIY)?

Just like most home projects, it's relatively easy to lay artificial grass by yourself as long as you take time and due care. all of our artificial grass products have a latex or polyurethane backing that is easy to cut into shape and lay across the area. If you are inexperienced in this type of work however, we would always recommend contacting a professional installer.

As with any DIY project, laying artificial grass by yourself requires a good amount of honesty! be realistic about your own experience and skill before you start – getting it wrong can get expensive quickly. have a think about your project and decide if there are compromises you can live with to make the job easier. for example, an irregular shaped garden can still take a rectangle lawn, with flowerbeds, ponds or other features added to complement excess space whilst keeping your artificial grass nice and simple.

to get you started laying artificial grass by yourself, here are a few other top tips:
  • Your first consideration, along with the area you want to cover with artificial turf, should be the base that you’re laying onto. you want it to be as level as possible, with a slight gradient to allow water to run off when it rains.
  • When replacing a natural lawn, our installation team will usually install a layer of type 1 mot, along with a fine layer of builder’s sand to create the perfect surface. if you’re laying onto an existing patio or driveway, you may be able to lay right onto it.
  • Ensure the base is solid and will not sink over time. laying directly onto soil is not recommended for exactly that reason.
  • Under most circumstances the area you will be laying onto will require a surround of some sort that you can nail the artificial grass onto. the perfectly green agents will usually use small wooden batons around the circumference of the area for this purpose, affixing the grass in place and eliminating the potential for movement.
  • Consider the angle of the grass when you’re laying it, and when you’re measuring the space. All artificial grass has an ever so slight lean to it because of the way it is manufactured, and because it is stored on a roll. Typically, you’ll want artificial grass blades to be pointing towards your house to create the most natural looking lawn from the inside. on the other hand, if you want your neighbours to be really jealous, point it towards their windows!
  • Always ask your artificial grass supplier for artificial turf from the same batch for each job that you do. different batches of the same product can occasionally have ever so slight differences in colour. at perfectly green we will never mix two batches of grass on the same job, avoiding any chance of creating a ‘patchwork’ effect on a lawn. we doubt any other supplier would be so careless but it never hurts to make sure.

Fitting artificial turf is easy as long as you take your time. we can give you detailed assistance over the phone or see our step-by-step installation guide for further details. alternatively, we offer a first-rate installation service, please contact us for more information.

Does the size and shape of my garden make a difference?

The artificial grass comes in 6 metre width rolls and as long as you require. all you need to do is measure your garden and calculate the width and length required.

What maintenance will the turf need?

The only maintenance required is the removal of debris; this can be done using a leaf blower or stiff brush.

Where can the grass be used?

anywhere! lawns, patios, roof gardens, terraces, balconies, children’s play areas, around swimming pools & hot tubs, conservatories, exhibitions, shows, films sets and more!

Does water stay on the surface of the grass, or does it drain through?

Water drains through the grass via holes in the latex backing, as long as the turf is installed onto a type 1 crushed stone sub base.

our artificial grass is designed to allow water to drain through the surface. each of the grasses in our range is created with a permeable latex backing, i.e. water escapes through small holes. a build-up of water on the surface of the synthetic turf is prevented as long as it’s laid onto a type 1 crushed stone sub base. in fact, artificial grass actually drains more quickly than natural grass.

Installing a fake lawn in your garden will help to prevent puddles on the surface and the occurrence of muddy patches. rain water will naturally drain through the sub base and into the soil just as it would with natural grass. If you're installing synthetic grass onto concrete or another hard surface outside, we recommend laying a crushed stone sub base. it acts to raise the grass up off the floor and gives the water space to drain away. when installing artificial grass, our team will also apply an ever so slight gradient to the sub-base. This allows water to collect in areas that are easier to drain, so in all but the heaviest of stormy weather your plastic grass will be far from a plastic swamp!

Please note that if you currently have a problem with flooding and/or poor drainage in the area that you intend to lay artificial grass, this problem should be addressed during the excavation process.

Is it suitable to install onto a sharp sand base?

A firm sub-base is essential and the most important part of the installation. we would always recommend installing over a substantial sub base which consists of a weed membrane, three inches of type 1, a blinding layer of sharp sand and then a second weed membrane. following this process will ensure that the grass will last for many many years.

Is it okay for pets and what happens with dog mess?

All of the perfectly artificial grass is pet friendly. as with any lawn, large pieces should be scooped up, any remaining small particles can be washed through the latex backing.

Is the window film easy to apply or take off the glass?

Yes. installing a film is very easy. you can do it by yourself and it will take you only a few minutes to install a film on any clear glass surface.

Removing the films is also very simple. you can bring back the old look of the glass at any time.

Can I reuse a film which was previously applied on a window?

No. window films are like big stickers. they can only be applied once.

Can I install a window film in other places than windows itself?

Films are designed for all types of glass surfaces: windows, doors, shower cubicles, glass tables, glass furniture, porches, pvc partitions or even car windows.

Can I apply a film on a PVC window?

Yes. the film can be applied on any PVC window internally, e.g., in case of office partitions.

When installing sun control and mirror films on a PVC glass, the following suggestions should be taken into account:
  • The film should be installed on the external side of the window
  • PVC glass must have been installed for at least 2 years. otherwise degassing may take place which results in air bubbles under the film.
